Louis Vuitton unveils its Spring/Summer 2024 Fashion Show, setting the stage with a blend of sophistication and contemporary charm.
Nicolas Ghesquière, the creative force behind Louis Vuitton womenswear for over a decade, has consistently conveyed his distinctive design sensibility through elegant yet creatively rich silhouettes. For the Spring/Summer 2024 season, Louis Vuitton joined forces with James Chinlund to craft an immersive show venue that artfully replicated the appearance of a hot air balloon, both inside and out.
The seating arrangements, shaped like pyramids, were swathed in vibrant orange plastic, graced by esteemed House ambassadors including Jaden Smith, Zendaya, and menswear Creative Director Pharrell Williams. Throughout the venue, the mesmerizing sounds of French musician Zaho de Sagazan resonated, setting the stage for Ghesquière's presentation of urban-inspired fashion.
Ghesquière's vision translated into leather bomber jackets paired with ruffled skirts and chunky belts reminiscent of the early 2000s, offered in black and monogrammed leather. Linear graphics intersected on layered bottoms and buttonless shirts, while textured corsets and billowy tops emerged in understated hues. The collection featured double-breasted outerwear crafted from an array of glossy materials, punctuated by distorted houndstooth patterns, bedazzled accessories, and unconventional footwear choices.
