Among the released production stills, Elizabeth Debicki is seen portraying Princess Diana in a striking fuchsia dress, enjoying a holiday with her sons, a young Prince Harry (portrayed by Fflyn Edwards) and William (played by Rufus Kampa). Additionally, an image has been depicted, recreating Harry and William's 1997 vacation to Balmoral Castle in the company of their father, Charles.

The initial six-episode segment will also explore Princess Diana's relationship with Dodi Al Fayed (portrayed by Khalid Abdalla) and will pick up from the Al Fayed family yacht trip to Saint Tropez, a scene hinted at in the fifth season's finale.

Suzanne Mackie, executive producer of the series, emphasized that the storyline will primarily revolve around the early stages of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed's romance, marked by intense media speculation. Reflecting on the project, Debicki expressed her excitement, regarding this chapter as a homecoming of sorts, adding that infusing joy and warmth into the narrative was of utmost importance given the tragic trajectory of Princess Diana's life.

The second part of the season, slated for release on December 14, will continue the narrative, spanning the years up to 2005 and documenting Prince William and Kate Middleton's love story.
