Jessica Chastain graced the red carpet on the second day of the 2023 Marrakech International Film Festival in Marrakech, Morocco, not just to promote her upcoming psychological thriller, "Mothers’ Instinct," but to showcase a piece of art herself – a stunning custom Balmain gown.

The acclaimed "Zero Dark Thirty" actor made a memorable entrance in a black long sleeve dress, adorned with square shoulders, a train, and a daring plunging neckline featuring a twist of pink satin on the bust. The intricate detailing of folds added a touch of sophistication and a pop of color to her form-fitting ensemble. Chastain's iconic fiery red hair flowed down in soft waves, elegantly tucked behind her ears. Her makeup choice for the night included a sultry smokey eye, glossy lips, and full eyelashes, while she opted to go sans jewelry, allowing the gown to steal the spotlight.

However, this wasn’t the only show-stopping look from Chastain during the festival. At the Hit Man screening on day one, she dazzled in an exquisite beaded and pearl-decorated cape paired with a gilded rhinestone jumpsuit by Armani. Completing the ensemble were glittery peep-toe platform heels by Casadei. A dark smokey eye and a bold red lip added the perfect dose of glamour. For this look, Chastain pulled her gorgeous locks back into a voluminous high ponytail, showcasing her versatility on the red carpet.

As the jury president for the 20th festival, Chastain not only captivated with her fashion choices but also kicked off the film showcase with a compelling speech on the power of cinema. Speaking about art as a medium of communication, raising awareness, and instigating positive change, she emphasized the ability of cinema to "break down barriers and start important conversations about difficult topics."

In her words, "[Cinema can] sublimate pain and suffering and give rise to a consciousness of healing and unification, to create a deeper protection for all." Jessica Chastain not only graced the festival with her cinematic presence but also made a powerful statement on the transformative potential of art.
