Meghan Markle headed out for a girls lunch while wearing a chic shorts look on Friday.

Meghan Markle was the epitome of effortless style during a lunch outing in Santa Barbara on Friday. Following her recent visit with military families at Camp Pendleton for Veteran's Day, the Duchess of Sussex honored the occasion by adorning her black sweater with an enamel poppy brooch.

The 42-year-old Duchess looked impeccably chic in a pair of khaki-colored canvas shorts and a black roll-neck sweater, both priced at $250 and sourced from La Ligne, a brand that has become a staple in her wardrobe. Meghan was spotted outside the Italian restaurant Pane e Vino with her friend Kelly McKee Zajfen.

Markle debuted a roomy new tote bag on her outing.

Markle's affinity for La Ligne is evident; she donned the brand's red piped pajamas ($250) and a tan version of the Marin sweater ($295) in the Netflix series “Harry & Meghan.” She also owns the Mini Marina sweater in a blue and white stripe pattern, valued at $195.

For her Friday ensemble, Meghan kept her accessories understated yet elegant. She sported a pair of stud earrings, a stack of gold bracelets, a Cartier watch, a black belt, and Celine sunglasses. The Duchess completed her look with a pair of Aquazurra ankle-strap flats, previously worn and priced at $795, and a new white striped tote from Cesta Collective, initially priced at $750 but purchased for $450.

Post-lunch, the Duchess indulged in some shopping at the Wendy Foster clothing boutique, enjoying the sunny afternoon in Santa Barbara. Her outfit for the day was a testament to her ability to blend casual elegance with symbolic gestures, making her a continuous fashion icon.
