Rachel Zegler channels Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen in fiery dress at ‘Hunger Games’ premiere

At the Berlin premiere of "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," Rachel Zegler paid homage to the original dystopian warrior, Katniss Everdeen, with her fashion choice on the red carpet.

The 22-year-old star of "West Side Story," cast in the role of the prequel's Lucy Gray Baird, a competitor in the earlier Hunger Games, stunned attendees in an Alexander McQueen creation. Her black gown, which debuted in the brand’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection, boasted a dramatic red skirt reminiscent of Jennifer Lawrence's memorable portrayal.

Zegler wore an Alexander McQueen look.

Adorning the bodice were scalloped edges that mirrored flames, leading down to a mermaid-style skirt where painted crimson embers seemed to climb the fabric.

Zegler's ensemble served as a perfect nod to Everdeen, especially recalling the transformative wedding dress that bursts into flames in the pivotal scene from "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

Zegler posed with Tom Blyth, who plays a young President Snow in the prequel.

The leading lady of the upcoming "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" elegantly styled her hair in waves and chose a vibrant red lipstick to complement her striking dress for the event, for which she received a special dispensation from SAG-AFTRA to attend.

Opting for simplicity in her jewelry, Zegler wore sparkling diamond hoops, allowing her dynamic gown to take center stage.
