adidas Spezial Unveils Gazelle SPZL: A Stylish Fusion of Heritage and Modernity

adidas Spezial has just introduced its latest sneaker masterpiece, the Gazelle SPZL, representing a captivating evolution of the classic adidas silhouette.

This modern reinterpretation skillfully weaves together elements from the late ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s Gazelles, showcasing an innovative design approach. The Gazelle SPZL's upper specifications have been reimagined, and a new foxing tape has been introduced, featuring a captivating blend of textures that pays homage to the shoe's rich heritage.

Curated by Gary Aspden, adidas archivist and Spezial founder, the Fall/Winter 2023 collection proudly features the Gazelle SPZL. Aspden's vision breathes new life into this iconic adidas shoe, demonstrating a profound respect for its history while pushing the boundaries of contemporary style.

This special series celebrates the Gazelle silhouette with two distinct versions. The first boasts bottle green suede with white stripes, sporting a traditional dimpled tongue and white eyelet reminiscent of the early ’70s West German version. The second version, drawing inspiration from the terrace classic "Tahiti Marine," comes in a navy colorway. Featuring a suede upper with flock stripes, a uniquely chosen material for this release, this version also includes a suede tongue adorned with a woven branded label.

The adidas Spezial Gazelle SPZL is now available via the adidas Confirmed app and select retailers, inviting sneaker enthusiasts to experience a perfect blend of heritage and modernity in each step.
