The Bow Trend at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards
Bows ruled the 2024 Critics Choice Awards red carpet, with Reese Witherspoon in Celine, Aja Naomi King in Oscar de la Renta and more.
Bows are having a major moment, and the 2024 Critics Choice Awards proved it.
The 29th annual show took over the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Sunday night, with Chelsea Handler hosting. America Ferrera received the SeeHer Award from her Barbie co-star Margot Robbie, Harrison Ford was honored with the Career Achievement Award, and Oppenheimer won Best Picture.
On the red carpet, stars like Reese Witherspoon, Danielle Brooks and Aja Naomi King all found their own way to wear the bow trend, from huge sculptural bows to tiny ribbon details. After a fun fall of red carpets like the 2023 VMAs red carpet, awards season is off to a pretty start.
Here's how the stars wore it.
Reese Witherspoon went dramatic in a custom black Celine gown with a huge sculptural bow. Strappy black heels and simple diamonds kept the rest clean.
Elizabeth Debicki looked so chic in a black Oscar de la Renta jumpsuit, paired with matching shoes and simple Dior jewelry.
Aja Naomi King was pretty in pink in an Oscar de la Renta gown with a long train and little bows lined up around a single cutout.
Danielle Brooks wore a textured Monsoori dress with Norman Silverman and Graziela Gems jewelry.
Camila Morrone kept it sweet in a long white gown from Chanel's spring 2022 couture collection, with a tiny black ribbon bow.
Bel Powley went for a white textured fit-and-flare dress from Chanel's spring 2023 couture collection, styled with a black tulle bow and pointed black heels.
Calista Flockhart, there with husband Harrison Ford, wore a bright fuchsia floral gown from Erdem's pre-fall 2024 collection, with a big matching bow at the waist.
