German Princess Breaks Tradition: Poses Nude on Playboy Cover

In a bold move that defies aristocratic norms, a German princess has made headlines by gracing the cover of Playboy magazine in the nude. Xenia Florence Gabriela Sophie Iris, the Princess of Saxony, sheds her clothes for the local edition of the magazine, aiming to convey a message of body positivity and self-acceptance.

According to German magazine Bild, Princess Xenia hopes that her decision will emphasize that "every woman is beautiful the way she is." Despite her royal lineage – her great-great-great-grandfather was the last King of Saxony, Friedrich August III – Princess Xenia believes that he would have approved of her daring photoshoot.

In a poolside interview with Bild, Princess Xenia reflects on her connection with her ancestor, describing him as "very humorous and loving." She acknowledges that while her royal family may not fully embrace her decision, she hopes they will at least tolerate it.

Raised in the 1,000-year-old House of Wettin, Princess Xenia admits that her aristocratic background brought challenges during her childhood. She recalls the moment her classmates discovered her royal status, leading to awkward questions and assumptions.

Despite the initial difficulties, Princess Xenia now views her royal title as a "blessing" that has opened doors to opportunities in reality television. Through shows like 'Die Burg', 'Summer House of the Stars', and 'Battle of the Reality Stars', she aims to showcase her authentic self and challenge perceptions of royalty.

Princess Xenia revealed her royal ancestry in her biography, 'Xenia: The Life of a Princess in the 21st Century', in 2011. However, her claims were met with skepticism and rejection by the House of Wettin, one of Germany's oldest noble families.

Maria Emanuel, the head of the now-defunct dynasty, dismissed Princess Xenia's biography as a "dreadful faux pas" and a misfortune for the House of Wettin. Despite the familial disapproval, Princess Xenia remains steadfast in her pursuit of self-expression and authenticity.
