Elie Saab celebrated the 45th anniversary of his iconic fashion house with a breathtaking event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, titled The 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab. This grand soirée, held as part of Riyadh Season 2024, drew 900 guests and featured 90 models presenting a stunning 300-look fashion show. The mile-long red carpet, filled with glamorous attendees, set the tone for an unforgettable night in a custom-built venue designed to evoke the Oscars.

Choreographed by Spanish dancer Blanca Li and styled by Carine Roitfeld, the show dazzled with haute couture pieces, including gowns specifically crafted for this event alongside treasures revived from Saab’s archives. Signature elements like feathers, dramatic drapes, and radiant embellishments showcased the designer’s devotion to opulence and elegance.

The production unfolded in four themed tableaux with live performances by Jennifer Lopez, dressed in a fringed bodysuit, and Camila Cabello, who rocked a sequined bustier minidress with thigh-high boots. The evening culminated with a captivating performance by Celine Dion, who appeared in a gold-sequined chiffon cape and mermaid gown, belting out The Power of Love and I’m Alive.

Elie Saab expressed pride in marking his milestone in the region. “The Middle East has so much culture to offer, and I feel honored to serve as an ambassador,” said Saab. Reflecting on his journey from establishing his maison in Beirut in 1982 to this momentous event, he noted, “I worked on this collection amidst challenging times in Lebanon. Our resilience fuels our creativity, and tonight’s show embodies hope and positivity.”

The event saw appearances from stars like Halle Berry, in a reimagined version of her iconic 2002 Oscar dress, Monica Bellucci, and other notable names including Poppy Delevingne and Helena Christensen, making The 1001 Seasons a true celebration of style, artistry, and resilience.
