Jennifer Lopez brought glamour to the Sundance Film Festival, turning heads in a stunning semi-sheer spiderweb dress as she premiered her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Woman.
The 55-year-old pop icon and actress looked radiant in the figure-hugging gown, which featured black see-through fabric adorned with silver sequin web detailing. The elegant long sleeves and floor-sweeping hemline added a touch of drama to the bold look. She paired the dress with black heeled sandals and a sleek black clutch bag, completing her striking ensemble.
J-Lo’s brunette locks were styled in a layered up-do, with soft ringlets framing her face. She kept her makeup understated, opting for a natural glow with a nude lip gloss, allowing her radiant beauty to shine.
The Hustlers star was at Sundance to debut her role as Ingrid Luna, a Hollywood musical star and the obsession of a political prisoner, in the musical adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman. The story, originally a 1976 novel by Manuel Puig, was later adapted into a 1985 film and became a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical in 1993.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer shared her excitement about this career milestone:
"I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life. The reason I even wanted to be in this business was because of musicals. My mom would sit me in front of the TV every Thanksgiving when West Side Story came on. I was mesmerized. That’s what I wanted to do, and now I finally got to do it."
In Kiss of the Spider Woman, Jennifer stars alongside Diego Luna and Tonatiuh. Diego plays Valentino, a political prisoner plotting to overthrow the dictatorship, while Tonatiuh takes on the role of Molina, a queer window dresser charged with public indecency. The characters’ lives intersect in a powerful story of identity, rebellion, and love.
