Charli XCX, 32, made a show-stopping appearance on the 2025 Grammys red carpet on Sunday, wowing fans and fashion critics alike in a jaw-dropping Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown crafted from an impressive 250 meters of chiffon. The voluminous, hand-shredded gown was a striking mix of elegance and edge, perfectly complementing Charli’s daring fashion persona.
E! News host Zanna Roberts Rassi described the ensemble as one of the standout looks of the night. Charli elevated the dramatic gown with thigh-high heels featuring slits up each leg, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the already bold outfit.
Interestingly, the hand-shredded design closely resembled a version recently modeled by Candace Swanepoel on the Paris Couture Week runway, where Kylie Jenner also sported a similar laced-up look.
Charli kept her jewelry simple but elegant, opting for diamond huggie earrings that sparkled subtly under the red-carpet lights. Her signature winged eyeliner and minimal glam kept the focus on her couture masterpiece.
Later in the evening, after winning Best Dance Pop Recording for her track “Von Dutch,” Charli swapped her voluminous gown for a sleek and edgy all-black ensemble by Ann Demeulemeester. The look featured a draped long-sleeve top paired with a see-through floor-length skirt and intricate string details across the chest.
To complete her after-party transformation, Charli donned her signature black shades and styled her hair in a half-up, half-down look, exuding effortlessly cool vibes.
