Mikey Madison turned heads as she made a fashionable entrance at the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California, on Friday night. Despite running late to the event, the Anora star captivated onlookers in a vintage Giorgio Armani gown featuring a black top, a white skirt, and matching gloves.
Madison, 25, kept her brunette hair in loose curls and accessorized with a stunning Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace and delicate earrings. Her light, natural makeup look highlighted her effortless beauty, completing the elegant ensemble.
The Los Angeles native earned a nomination for Best Actress for her role in Anora, which is also up for Best Picture. Her late arrival caused her to miss a humorous shout-out from host Chelsea Handler, who jokingly referred to Anora as a biopic "about Melania Trump." Handler praised Madison’s performance, calling it a "wild, wild ride" and quipping, "Russians and prostitutes, who would have ever connected those dots? Certainly no one in this room."
This marks Madison’s first Critics Choice nomination since her breakout role in the 2017 independent film Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey. Her recent win for Breakthrough Performer of the Year at the 45th Critics' Circle Film Awards further cements her rising star status.
Reflecting on her success, Madison shared, "I feel very honored, very nervous, very happy, completely in awe. I've been acting literally more than a decade now... I really, genuinely can't believe I'm here in a room like this, celebrating a film (Anora) I love so much."
The Critics Choice Awards, originally scheduled for January 12, faced multiple delays due to LA wildfires before finally taking place at Barker Hangar.
