Bianca Censori, the Australian architect and Yeezy designer, has become a prominent figure in the spotlight since her relationship with Kanye West made headlines. The couple reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills in January 2023, less than two months after West finalized his divorce from Kim Kardashian. While initial reports suggested their union wasn’t legally binding, it was later revealed that the two had legally married on December 20, 2022, in a secret ceremony in Palo Alto, California.
Censori, who has worked as an architectural designer for West’s company Yeezy since November 2020, has a background in architecture and design. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Melbourne in 2017 and later earned her master’s degree in architecture in 2020. Before joining Yeezy, she worked as an architect at an Australian firm and as a design consultant.
In addition to her architectural career, Censori is also an entrepreneur. She founded Nylons, a jewelry company, after graduating high school. “I started playing around with mesh, then putting crystals inside the meshing, just making really simple thin chokers,” she explained in a 2016 interview with i-D. “I started selling those, and from there it slowly kept growing.”
Censori and West first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted dining together at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills on January 9, 2023, just days before news of their marriage broke. West also hinted at their relationship in his song “Censori Overload,” released in December 2022, with lyrics like, “And the Bible said, ‘I can’t have any more sex ’til marriage.’”
Since going public with their relationship, the couple has been known for their provocative outings, including a racy moment on a boat in Italy. Censori has also undergone a dramatic style transformation, swapping her long brunette locks for a bleach-blonde pixie cut shortly before marrying West.
While Censori has largely stayed out of the public eye, deactivating her Instagram account around the time her relationship with West became public, her role as a Yeezy designer and her marriage to one of the most controversial figures in music have cemented her place in pop culture.
