Halle Berry lit up the 2025 Oscars red carpet on Sunday night, shimmering in a dazzling strapless Christian Siriano gown. The show-stopping design, adorned with cut-out mirror embellishments, created a striking disco-ball effect as it reflected the lights of the Dolby Theatre.

Adding to the gown’s allure, sheer side panels encrusted with delicate crystals provided a modern, sultry touch. Berry completed her silver-themed ensemble with chain-link bracelets, stacked rings, sparkling diamond huggies, and sky-high lucite heels.

The Never Let Go actress, 58, is set to take the stage as a presenter during the awards ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien. But Berry’s presence at the Oscars always carries deeper significance. She remains the only Black woman to have won the Academy Award for Best Actress, a historic moment from her 2002 win for Monster’s Ball.

Reflecting on this milestone, Berry expressed frustration in a 2024 interview with Marie Claire, stating, “I’m still eternally miffed that no Black woman has come behind me for that Best Actress Oscar. It’s certainly not because there has been nobody deserving.”

This year, Cynthia Erivo is a nominee in the category for her portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked, marking her second Best Actress nod after Harriet in 2019. If she wins, she would become only the second woman of color to claim the title, following Berry’s landmark victory.
