Anthony Vaccarello’s Fall Winter 2025-2026 collection for Saint Laurent was a breathtaking exploration of emotion, simplicity, and the enduring legacy of Yves Saint Laurent. Inspired by a poignant video of model Amalia Vairelli describing Saint Laurent as “love,” Vaccarello crafted a collection that resonated with emotional depth and unspoken connections, stripping away artifice to focus on pure creativity.
The show was a celebration of vibrant color, featuring a rich palette of fuchsia, coral, amethyst, ochre, emerald, citrine, terracotta, and olive. These saturated hues, combined with washed satin and technical jersey, created a sense of elasticity and movement, allowing the garments to flow with freedom and grace. The silhouettes, inspired by Saint Laurent’s 1990s haute couture collections, showcased inverted triangle shapes—bold shoulders tapering to narrow hems—seen in high-collared coats, sack dresses, bow-back blouses, and leather blousons.
Eveningwear took a dramatic turn with voluminous ball skirts paired with silk camisoles, lace tops, or leather aviator jackets, replacing the brand’s signature black with earthy tones. Accessories included leather gauntlets, dark shades, curved-heel slingbacks, and sculpted gold earrings, with a notable absence of handbags, emphasizing creative expression over commercial appeal.
Backstage, Vaccarello emphasized his vision of “something clean, with no ornamentation, no decoration, no… nothing.” His focus on cut, construction, and color resulted in a collection that felt both modern and timeless, a testament to the power of simplicity and emotion in fashion.
