Jacquemus Unveils Personal “Le Paysan” Collection at Versailles for SS26
Jacquemus debuts SS26 “Le Paysan” at Versailles, honoring his childhood and roots with sculptural designs, raffia bags, and personal touches.
Jacquemus returned to Paris Fashion Week with his most personal collection yet, debuting Spring/Summer 2026 at the Palace of Versailles. Titled Le Paysan, the show was a love letter to designer Simon Porte Jacquemus’ childhood and family heritage.
Held in L’Orangerie, a space tied to agriculture and nature, the runway honored his upbringing. Womenswear pieces explored voluminous silhouettes through crisp poplin, English tulle, sheer sheaths, and inverted tulle aprons. Many poplin designs were finished like vintage linens, complete with embroidered “J” monograms.
Rendered mainly in white, beige, and black, the collection included hints of color and playful accessories. Footwear featured platform, wedge, and slingback espadrilles, while bags included woven raffia updates of classics like Le Turismo. A new handheld bag, Le Valerie—named after Jacquemus’ mother—made its debut.
Le Paysan celebrates the designer’s roots and how far he has come, making it his most intimate collection to date.
