Lola Tung Debuts Peacock-Inspired Hair and Soft Glam Look at Prime Book Club Live
Lola Tung debuts a spiked peacock-inspired hairstyle and soft glam look at Prime Book Club Live, pairing bold hair with delicate, minimal makeup.
Lola Tung turned heads at Prime Book Club Live in Australia on Wednesday with a bold, peacock-inspired hairstyle and a fresh, minimal makeup look.
Known for playing Belly on The Summer I Turned Pretty, the 22-year-old stepped into avant-garde territory with her dark brown hair styled into a spiked, half-up, half-down look resembling a peacock train. The back featured sculpted spikes, while the front was slicked across her forehead and tucked behind one ear, with short ends jutting out below — an abstract nod to the intricate floral beading on her periwinkle-lavender minidress.
While it’s unclear if longtime stylist Dana Boyer crafted the dramatic ‘do, the overall look aligned with Tung’s growing fashion edge.
Her makeup kept things soft and seasonal. Lavender blush and pink gloss highlighted her features, while sparkly rose-gold shadow paired with her signature top black liner kept the glam grounded. Brows were brushed back, and the emphasis stayed on her eyes — subtle yet striking.
Tung often collaborates with makeup artist Misha (who also works with Daisy Edgar-Jones and Dakota Fanning), including for the season three trailer of The Summer I Turned Pretty, where she wore a mirrored bottom-wing eyeliner inspired by Euphoria.
Now, in the new season, her character Belly may still be stuck in a romantic tangle, but her look is more refined than ever — defined eyeliner, minimal base, and a clear sense of beauty confidence.
