Kettel Atelier SS26 Blurs Fashion, Art, and Sustainability in a Living Installation
Kettel Atelier’s SS26 collection redefines the fashion show as a live art installation, fusing craft, emotion, and sustainability in Copenhagen.
At Copenhagen Fashion Week, Kettel Atelier didn’t stage a traditional runway — it created a living, breathing installation.
The Spanish label, helmed by Danish creative director Laura Tønder, unveiled its SS26 collection titled Unravel through an immersive showcase that blurred the lines between fashion, fine art, and sustainable design.
Set in an open, multidisciplinary space, the two-hour presentation was designed to be felt rather than watched. Models moved through the environment in one-of-a-kind, handcrafted garments made from delicate lace, sheer vintage fabrics, and upcycled materials — each piece a tribute to slow, intentional creation.
The collection stayed true to Kettel Atelier’s aesthetic: floaty silhouettes in muted tones with occasional deep browns and mahogany hues. Nothing was staged. Everything was alive.
Live art by painter Bille Who unfolded in real time, echoing the collection’s embrace of spontaneity, imperfection, and artistry. Performers wove themselves into the atmosphere, making the act of creation itself part of the experience.
Kettel Atelier’s SS26 wasn’t about trends — it was about presence. It rejected fashion as spectacle in favor of something more intimate: the raw, emotional process behind making clothes that matter.
