Sydney Sweeney Misses the Mark in Danielle Frankel at Americana LA Screening

Sydney Sweeney wears a lemon-yellow Danielle Frankel gown to the Americana LA screening—an ambitious look that ends up missing the mark.
Sydney Sweeney’s Danielle Frankel Look Falls Flat at Americana Screening

Sydney Sweeney walked the red carpet at the Americana LA screening on Sunday night, but her outfit told a different story—one that left many scratching their heads.

Wearing a lemon-yellow satin corset gown by bridal designer Danielle Frankel, Sweeney paired the look with a matching headband and frothy tulle skirt. While Frankel has serious red carpet credibility (see: Pamela Anderson’s sleek Naked Gun premiere moment), this ensemble felt more “Wonder Woman at prom” than modern Hollywood starlet.

Silver cuffs were the only thing missing from the comic-book-heroine vibes, though Sweeney tried to elevate the look with diamonds from EFFY Jewelry. The intention may have been to break out of her usual bombshell persona—but the result felt disjointed rather than daring.

A vintage updo and bold accessories might’ve helped, but even then, the look struggled to find its footing.

With styling by Molly Dickson, makeup by Melissa Hernandez, and hair by Glen Coco, the effort was clearly there—but the execution left more questions than applause.
