Sundance 2026: The Best Celebrity Looks From Park City

Sundance has never been about big ball gowns. It's snowy, it's cold, and everyone is running between screenings, so the best looks are the ones that actually work in real life.

This year's festival, which runs January 22 to February 1, is a special one. It's the last edition in Park City before Sundance moves to Boulder, Colorado, in 2027, and the first since founder Robert Redford's death last September. The stars showed up in dark colors, cozy textures and a few fun surprises. Here are our favorite looks.

Charli XCX

Charli XCX has three films at the festival this year, including her own movie The Moment, and she dressed like the main character at its premiere. She wore an oversized black suit with sharp shoulders and loose trousers, styled with a flowy shirt and a striped tie. Pointed heels, long glossy hair and a faux-fur coat slung over her arm finished it off. Very cool, very Charli. She also turned heads earlier in the week in a sheer lace poncho at Sundance.

Kiernan Shipka

Kiernan Shipka went for a softer take on black at the Variety Studio. Her sleeveless velvet midi dress was cinched with a rich brown belt, and she grounded it with knee-high black boots, perfect for the snowy Park City streets. Soft waves and minimal jewelry kept it easy.

Olivia Wilde

Olivia Wilde, who stars in Gregg Araki's I Want Your Sex and also has her own film The Invite at the festival, kept it sleek at her premiere. She wore a glossy black leather trench with a defined waist, plus tinted glasses and natural makeup. Hands in pockets, totally unbothered.

Chase Sui Wonders

Her I Want Your Sex co-star Chase Sui Wonders had the most playful look of the bunch. Her pale sage slip dress was covered in delicate beading and trimmed with faux fur at the neckline, hem and hood. She even matched it with furry slippers. Honestly, iconic.

Tessa Thompson

Tessa Thompson went warm and earthy in a mustard suede suit with a structured jacket and wide-leg trousers. Black pointed boots, simple jewelry and braided hair kept it polished but relaxed.

Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum, who stars in the competition film Josephine, kept things neutral in a caramel look. He layered a soft knit polo under a long overcoat, with tailored trousers and suede boots.

Ethan Hawke

Ethan Hawke, at the festival with The Weight alongside Russell Crowe, had fun with his tailoring. His dark green suit had Western-style embroidery, and he wore it with a crisp white shirt.

Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow

Judd Apatow is at Sundance with Paralyzed by Hope: The Maria Bamford Story, a documentary he co-directed, and he brought his wife Leslie Mann along. She kept it casual in a black knit top, dark jeans and chunky boots, while Judd added a pop of color with a red zip-up jacket over a tee, jeans and sneakers.

Chris Pine

Chris Pine, who stars in the competition film Carousel, went full '70s in a brown corduroy suit with an open-neck white shirt and neutral boots.

Rob Lowe

Rob Lowe kept it sharp and simple in all black, with a fitted tee, a tailored jacket, pinstriped trousers and polished shoes.
