Jung Kook Channels Pure ’90s Cool in Calvin Klein’s Spring Denim Campaign
Jung Kook stars in Calvin Klein’s ’90s-inspired Spring denim campaign, blending music, dance, and relaxed jeans silhouettes.
Calvin Klein knows exactly what it’s doing with this one. For its Spring denim campaign, the brand taps global ambassador Jung Kook of BTS, and the result is a confident, ’90s-inspired vibe that feels nostalgic without looking dated.
Directed and styled by Mert Alas, the campaign leans into denim as a form of self-expression. And honestly, Jung Kook makes it look effortless. The visuals blend fashion with performance, set to instantly recognizable tracks like “Footloose,” while he moves through a record store with sharp choreography and natural charisma. There’s even a cameo from Rosie Perez, adding another layer of throwback energy.
Denim is clearly the hero here. Jung Kook wears Calvin Klein Jeans silhouettes like the 90s Straight and the relaxed Baggy fit, both designed with loose, nostalgic proportions that nod to the decade without feeling costume-like. The updated Trucker jacket also makes an appearance, reimagined with elevated washes and a slightly modernized cut.
He pairs the denim with casual logo tees and oversized bombers, keeping the styling clean and wearable. Nothing feels forced. It’s relaxed, confident, and very much in line with his personal style. As Jung Kook himself shared, he loves Calvin Klein jeans because they’re “designed to be lived in.” That sentiment shows throughout the campaign.
What I appreciate most is how natural he looks. It doesn’t feel like a pop star playing dress-up. It feels like someone genuinely enjoying the mix of music, dance, and fashion.
The campaign launched globally across Calvin Klein stores, online, social platforms, and out-of-home placements. And if this is the vibe for spring, denim season just got a lot cooler.
