Teyana Taylor Tiffany & Co. bird brooch BAFTA Awards

Teyana Taylor doesn’t just walk a red carpet. She stages a moment.

At the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards in London, the actress and style chameleon arrived in a custom plum silk duchesse gown by Burberry’s creative director Daniel Lee, and it was pure fashion theater.

From afar, the floor-length dress looked regal and sculpted. Up close, it revealed its clever twist. The silhouette mimicked a classic trench coat, complete with tiny buckle details along the sleeve trims and a waist tie that cinched the look together. It was structured but fluid, polished yet powerful.

Then came the drama.

A ruffled funnel neck rose from her shoulders, wrapping around her neckline like a sculptural frame. It added height, movement, and that unmistakable couture energy Taylor does so well. The deep plum shade gave it richness, especially under the flash of cameras.

And the jewelry? Next level.

Pinned delicately at her right shoulder was a Tiffany & Co. bird brooch crafted from 18-karat yellow gold and platinum, featuring a 50-plus-carat citrine, diamonds, and a pink sapphire. She layered the look with diamond earrings, a mid-century archival bracelet pulled from Tiffany’s 1940s vault, a spessartine ring, and a 16-stone ruby and diamond ring. Yes, it was a lot. But somehow, on Teyana, it felt perfectly balanced.

Styled by Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, she once again proved she understands proportion and presence. Compared to her Schiaparelli Golden Globes moment earlier this season, this felt sharper and more tailored.

Honestly, turning a trench coat into red carpet couture shouldn’t work this well. But on Teyana Taylor, it absolutely does.
