Chappell Roan Turns Heads in Sheer Lace at Acne Studios Paris Fashion Week
Chappell Roan stuns in a sheer lace corset dress at the Acne Studios FW 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week, pairing drama with bold glam.
Front row fashion at Paris Fashion Week can sometimes blend together, but Chappell Roan made sure that didn’t happen at the Acne Studios Womenswear Fall/Winter 2026–2027 show on March 4.
The “Hot To Go” singer arrived in a look that felt theatrical, a little rebellious, and very on-brand. Roan wore a semi-sheer charcoal lace corset dress that balanced structure with softness. The high lace turtleneck immediately gave the look a Victorian edge, while the sleeveless cut and sheer fabric brought it firmly into modern territory.
The bodice was the star of the piece. Built like a corset, it featured visible boning that sculpted the waist and defined the torso. Underneath the lace, her bra straps peeked through slightly, adding that deliberate, undone detail Acne Studios often plays with. From the waist down, the dress loosened into a layered midi skirt made from patchworked panels of grey and muted blue lace fabrics. The transparency shifted throughout the dress, denser through the bust and lighter toward the hem, which gave the whole silhouette depth instead of feeling flat.
She leaned fully into the drama with styling. Purple floral-print tights peeked out beneath the skirt, paired with matching pumps finished with a sharp black toe. Sheer lace gloves tied the whole look together, extending the texture from neckline to fingertips.
And then there was the hair. Roan traded her usual long fiery-red locks for a fluffy chin-length bob with a sculpted kiss curl at the front. The glam was pure theatrical fantasy: powdery porcelain skin, rust-toned blush, bleached brows, bold blue eyeshadow, thick liner, and a deep red lip.
If the look feels dramatic, that’s exactly the point. Roan has built her identity around drag-inspired performance style, and this appearance fits right alongside the sheer Mugler moment she wore on the 2026 Grammys red carpet. She clearly isn’t interested in playing it safe, and honestly, Paris Fashion Week is a pretty perfect stage for that.
