Mandy Moore Wore Rodarte at the 86th Annual Peabody Awards
Mandy Moore wore a Rodarte black velvet and white silk crepe dress at the 2026 Peabody Awards with soft waves and minimal jewels.
Mandy Moore made a soft black-and-white statement at the 86th Annual Peabody Awards, stepping onto the red carpet in Rodarte. The actress and singer, best known for This Is Us, A Walk to Remember, and her early pop career, has always had a romantic side to her style, so Rodarte feels like a natural choice for her.
For the event, Mandy wore Rodarte’s black and off-white silk bias dress with velvet bow details, a piece the brand identified from its Spring/Summer 2025 Bridal line. The dress is cut in off-white silk crepe with cross-body paneling and black velvet bows at the shoulders, while the full-length skirt falls softly from the waist. Rodarte’s product description notes the piece is made from silk two-ply crepe and finished with black velvet ribbon bow details.
The combination of textures is easily the strongest part of the look. The black velvet bodice gives the dress a richer, more evening-appropriate mood, while the white silk crepe skirt keeps it light and fluid. The shoulder bows add that signature Rodarte sweetness without going too bridal.
That said, the fit is where the look loses me a little. I don’t hate it, and I actually love the black-and-white pairing, but I think it would have worked better with a slightly more fitted top half. The bodice looks a bit roomy on Mandy, which makes the velvet details harder to see. She usually wears Rodarte beautifully, and you can tell she loves the brand, but this particular fit feels less polished than it could have been.
Her styling stayed simple. Mandy wore her hair in loose, center-parted waves with a soft, natural finish. The makeup was fresh and understated, with defined eyes, rosy cheeks, and a nude lip. Minimal jewelry and black heels completed the look, keeping the focus on the dress’s texture play.
