The 2026 U.S. Open got off to a seriously stylish start as celebrities arrived at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Sunday, August 30. With the main draw officially underway, Emma Roberts, Lindsey Vonn and Tate McRae were among the familiar faces stepping onto the blue carpet and bringing their own take on tennis-inspired fashion. The tournament runs through September 13 and marks the final Grand Slam of the season.
Emma Roberts, best known for her roles in American Horror Story, Scream Queens and numerous film projects, opted for a polished and sophisticated look from Ferragamo's Resort 2027 collection. Her boxy slipdress featured a striking mix of polka dots, sharp graphic lines and shades of blue, brown and burnt sienna. She completed the outfit with a Ferragamo bag, black-and-white heels and dark Oliver Peoples sunglasses, giving her look a chic, slightly retro finish.
Olympic gold medal-winning skier Lindsey Vonn went in a brighter direction with a vibrant green, figure-hugging dress. The sleeveless design featured wrap detailing at the drop waist, while soft draping through the skirt added movement and dimension. The former skiing champion proved that a bold pop of color can stand out beautifully against the more traditional tennis whites and sporty looks of the day. Vonn was also officially among the celebrities photographed arriving for the USTA Foundation Gala blue carpet.
Meanwhile, “Sports Car” singer Tate McRae gave athleisure a fashionable twist in a look by adidas. The Canadian pop star wore a black knit cardigan with the brand's recognizable white logo detail, styled with black shorts, white socks and classic Adidas Stan Smith sneakers. She added a luxurious finishing touch with a Gucci shoulder bag, perfectly balancing sporty comfort with high-fashion appeal. McRae has also recently worked with Adidas on its Originals Sport campaign, making the sporty-chic choice especially fitting.
