UNIQLO Debuts Its First Standalone Hijab Collection for LifeWear

UNIQLO is taking another meaningful step toward inclusive fashion with the launch of its first standalone hijab collection. Expanding its signature LifeWear philosophy of everyday comfort and functionality, the Japanese retailer has introduced a dedicated range designed for women seeking versatile, easy-to-style modest essentials. The collection will debut on August 17 and will be available exclusively in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines, markets where modest fashion continues to play an important role in everyday wardrobes.

The new lineup features three distinct styles tailored to different occasions and lifestyles. Leading the collection is the AIRism UV Protection Hijab, crafted from UNIQLO's signature AIRism performance fabric. Designed for warm and humid climates, it combines moisture-wicking, quick-drying, UV-protection and cooling technology to deliver all-day comfort while maintaining a lightweight feel.

Alongside the performance-focused design, UNIQLO is introducing the Georgette Hijab, made with a lightweight fabric that creates an elegant drape for everyday styling. It arrives in a versatile triangular, one-size silhouette and is offered in 12 colors, ranging from timeless neutrals to shades like olive, navy, pale blue and deep wine. For dressier occasions, the Satin Hijab offers a smooth, lustrous finish in six rich colors, including rust, red and classic black, making it suitable for celebrations and evening wear.

While this marks the brand's first dedicated hijab collection, it also builds on UNIQLO's long-standing relationship with modest fashion through its successful Hana Tajima collaborations, which introduced AIRism hijabs and modest wardrobe staples to a global audience. The new launch broadens that commitment by offering a permanent range created specifically for everyday wear, reflecting the brand's focus on accessibility, innovation and thoughtful design.

With breathable technical fabrics, versatile color options and clean, minimalist styling, UNIQLO's latest release demonstrates how practical design and modern modest fashion can go hand in hand.
