Alexandra Eala Wore Michael Kors Floral Dress at NYFW Spring 2027 Show
Tennis star Alexandra Eala wore a floral-appliqué Michael Kors little black dress with matching gloves at NYFW's Spring 2027 show.
Alexandra Eala's fashion week takeover kept rolling. The 21-year-old Filipina tennis star, fresh off a strong 2026 season that included her first WTA title at the Mubadala DC Open and a run to the third round of the US Open, made her second New York Fashion Week stop of the week at Michael Kors' Spring/Summer 2027 presentation, held at the Museum of Modern Art's Sculpture Garden, a day after her Tory Burch debut.

Eala wore a black spaghetti-strap midi dress covered edge to edge in delicate floral appliqué, giving the piece a soft, textured, almost tactile quality against the classic little-black-dress silhouette. The fitted bodice flows into a fuller, gathered skirt that falls just below the knee, striking a clean, ladylike balance between structured and relaxed. She paired the dress with matching black leather opera gloves, a sleek black top-handle bag, and black block-heel pumps, finishing the whole look with her dark hair swept up into a tall, loose chignon. One fashion outlet described the overall effect as giving off "Audrey Hepburn energy," and it's easy to see why: the gloves and updo pushed the look firmly into old-Hollywood territory.

Eala was in good company at the show, seated among a front row that included Lea Michele, Gabrielle Union, Olivia Munn, Kathryn Newton, Lori Harvey and Natalia Bryant. Speaking about her growing presence in the fashion world, Eala noted how much she appreciates being able to express herself through style, something she said isn't always as encouraged in professional tennis. Between the Michael Kors appearance and her red Tory Burch blazer moment days earlier, Eala's fashion week debut has quickly become one of the more talked-about crossover stories of the week, one that fits neatly alongside her rising tennis career and her current world No. 18 ranking.
