Ava Phillippe Walks Vogue World Milan 2026 in a Retro Black Miu Miu Dress

Ava Phillippe made her runway debut at Vogue World: Milano 2026, and she picked the perfect look to do it in. The 27-year-old, daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, walked inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II on September 22 in a look that channeled old Hollywood without trying too hard.

Phillippe wore a fitted black Miu Miu dress that hit just above the knee, with a broad, curved off-the-shoulder neckline and short sleeves covering the tops of her shoulders. The silhouette stayed clean and simple, with almost no surface detail breaking up the black, letting the shape of the dress do all the work. Several outlets pointed out that the low, wide neckline echoed the kind of look Sophia Loren wore back in the 1950s, and the comparison tracks.

She kept the styling just as retro. A Miu Miu pearl choker sat close to the neck, right above the dress's neckline, giving the all-black outfit its one bright pop of color. She finished it off with pointed Gianvito Rossi pumps in matching black. Her blonde hair was swept back into an updo with a loose piece falling across one side of her face, and her makeup leaned into the mid-century mood with sharp, winged eyeliner.

Vogue World Milano runs alongside the opening of Milan Fashion Week and mixes runway presentations with a red carpet full of major names. This year's show also included looks from Mikey Madison, Iris Law and Alicia Keys, and marked Phillippe's first time walking in any city's edition of the event, following past shows in New York, London and Paris.
