Brooks Nader Wore Vintage Alexander McQueen to the Practical Magic 2 U.S. Premiere
Brooks Nader wore a sheer vintage Alexander McQueen FW04 gown, styled by Siena Montesano, to the Practical Magic 2 U.S. premiere.
Brooks Nader brought plenty of dark glamour to the Practical Magic 2 U.S. premiere in Los Angeles, choosing an archival fashion moment that felt perfectly suited to the magical mood of the evening. The model and Love Thy Nader star stepped onto the carpet in a striking vintage gown from Alexander McQueen’s Fall/Winter 2004 collection, with Siena Montesano styling the memorable look. The Los Angeles premiere took place on August 31 as the cast and celebrity guests gathered to celebrate the highly anticipated sequel.
From a distance, Brooks' dress appeared to be a classic black evening gown, but a closer look revealed its intricate and daring construction. The floor-length design featured a plunging cowl neckline held by delicate spaghetti straps, while a draped satin halter-style scarf detail added movement around the upper body. The gown then followed her figure closely before falling into a subtly flared hem.
The real drama came from the fabric. Intricate patterned black lace layered over a nude base created a semi-sheer illusion through the body and skirt, giving the archival design plenty of texture and a slightly mysterious edge. Sheer black mesh panels at the back added another unexpected detail to the vintage creation.
Brooks kept the accessories minimal, wearing statement dark rings and a light manicure rather than competing with the detailed gown. Her blonde hair was styled into a thick, intricate braided ponytail, with loose, softly waved tendrils left around her face. Smoky eye makeup, defined brows, rosy cheeks and a glossy nude lip completed the sultry beauty look. Shoes were mostly hidden beneath the full-length hem.
With its plunging neckline, sheer lace and dramatic archival history, Brooks Nader's McQueen choice was one of those red-carpet looks that rewarded a second glance and it fit the enchanting Practical Magic 2 setting beautifully.
