Charli XCX Poses for First-Ever Playboy Cover Shot on the Thames

Charli XCX just turned one of her own lyrics into a real-life magazine cover. The pop star, known for hits like "Boom Clap" and her genre-defining "Brat" album, fronts Playboy's Fall 2026 issue, out September 29, in a shoot that essentially brings her song "Playboy Bunny" to life.

The cover was shot by her longtime collaborator Aidan Zamiri aboard a boat cruising down the river Thames in London, with additional images captured in a hotel room and against the city skyline. Talking about the boat shoot, Charli joked that "the tourists were into it." She said the idea to shoot with Playboy had been on her mind for a while, calling it "such an iconic magazine" and adding, "I love the logo. I love underwear. I love female bodies. I love full-out sexiness."

For the interview portion, Charli sat down with her "The Moment" co-star Kylie Jenner, who conducted her first-ever Playboy interview. The two covered everything from Charli's July 2025 marriage to George Daniel to how she defines confidence. "Sex, sexuality, and confidence are all very sacred things to me," Charli told Jenner, adding that she feels just as sexy in lingerie as she does in a fully tailored suit. Asked when she feels most confident, she answered simply: "When I'm on stage and when I'm with George."

The conversation also touched on lighter territory, Charli named Jack Black as a celebrity she finds unexpectedly attractive, and admitted to finding a "tiny bit avoidant" personality trait "hot, unfortunately." She closed out her cover story with a line that doubled as a mission statement: "A Playboy Bunny should never apologize for anything."

The issue arrives just ahead of Charli's North American tour and ties into her ongoing "Brat" era rollout, cementing another bold, unapologetic chapter in her already headline-making year.
