Charlize Theron Wore Black Dior Mini Dress With Satin Bow at Her CTAOP Block Party in Los Angeles

Charlize Theron picked a short, sharp black look for her sixth annual CTAOP Block Party. The Oscar-winning South African actress, known for Monster, Mad Max: Fury Road and Atomic Blonde, hosted the fundraiser on Saturday, September 19, at the Universal Studios Backlot in Los Angeles.

She wore a black Dior mini dress, and the details did the work. It was sleeveless with a high mock neck, and a gold "D" buckle sat at the collar. A big satin bow was tied at one shoulder, and an asymmetric panel dropped past the hem on the side, with a little fringe peeking out underneath. It's a simple silhouette, but the bow and buckle gave it a playful edge. A specific collection name for the dress hasn't been shared.

Theron kept the Dior theme going down to her shoes, wearing white ribbon-strap mules with black Dior lettering and a low black block heel. She's a longtime Dior ambassador, and the label was one of the event's sponsors. She added small gold earrings and black nail polish on both her hands and toes. Her short blonde bob was tousled and side-swept with loose waves, and her glam was soft and natural with a peachy-pink lip. No hair or makeup credits have been shared yet.

The party raises money for the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, which she founded in 2007 to support young people in Southern Africa. The organization says it has reached more than 4.8 million young people. The guest list included Kid Cudi, Natasha Lyonne, January Jones, Nick Kroll and Universal chairwoman Donna Langley. Theron told Variety she's grateful to Universal, calling the studio her family, and the night came just after The Odyssey became Universal's highest-grossing film ever.
