Christina Aguilera black Versace gown Monaco gala

Christina Aguilera brought serious old-Hollywood glamour to Monaco's biggest night of the year. The "Genie in a Bottle" singer, who also took the stage to perform, attended the 20th anniversary gala of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation on September 18 at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, joining Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, and a stacked guest list for the milestone celebration.

Working with stylist Chris Horan, Christina wore an all-black Versace gown crafted from 100% embroidered silk. The sleek, floor-length design featured a plunging, draped neckline and a high halter-style collar finished with an oversized, reptilian-looking silver beaded embellishment at the throat. A thigh-high slit ran up one side, revealing pointed black pumps with every step, and the fitted silhouette gave the whole look a sultry, femme fatale edge reminiscent of old-school Hollywood glamour.

She rounded out the outfit with several dazzling Chopard jewelry pieces, keeping the sparkle concentrated at the neckline. Christina wore her platinum blonde hair styled with a swept-back front and voluminous curls cascading past her shoulders, and her makeup leaned icy and sultry, sleepy black liner paired with bright pink blush for warmth.

The evening marked two decades of the Foundation's environmental work, founded by Prince Albert in 2006 following his North Pole expedition. Around 250 guests attended, including Monica Bellucci and Richard Gere as guests of honor, alongside Eva Herzigová, Isabelle Huppert, and Caroline Scheufele. Christina joined Plácido Domingo and Sister Sledge as one of the evening's performers, making her striking Versace moment just one part of a genuinely star-studded night celebrating the Foundation's ongoing mission for planetary health.
