Claire Foy Wore Custom Bottega Veneta to the Ink Premiere at Venice Film Festival 2026
Claire Foy wore a custom red Bottega Veneta gown, matching leather gloves, Swarovski jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes in Venice.
Claire Foy made a striking entrance at the Opening Ceremony of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, stepping onto the red carpet for the world premiere of Netflix's Ink in a dramatic custom Bottega Veneta look by Louise Trotter. The actress was styled by Jonathan Huguet, and the result was an unforgettable head-to-toe red fashion moment.
Best known for playing Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix's acclaimed series The Crown, as well as her roles in The Girl in the Spider's Web and First Man, the British actress joined her Ink co-stars Jack O'Connell and Guy Pearce for the opening-night screening. Danny Boyle's film officially opened the 83rd Venice Film Festival on September 2, with its world premiere held at the Sala Grande following the Opening Ceremony.
For the occasion, Claire wore a rich crimson, floor-length Bottega Veneta gown with wide straps and a low rounded neckline. The sleek satin design followed a narrow column silhouette, while gathered fabric wrapped across the waist and came together in a distinctive knotted detail at the front. It was simple in shape but made a strong impact thanks to that intense shade of red.
She doubled down on the monochrome theme with matching long red leather opera gloves, adding a glamorous, vintage-inspired touch. Swarovski jewelry brought extra sparkle to the look, while Christian Louboutin shoes completed her red-carpet ensemble.
Claire's dark hair was slicked back in a polished wet-look style, allowing the gown's neckline and jewelry to take centre stage. A bold red lip tied beautifully into the dress and gloves, while her understated makeup kept the overall effect elegant rather than overdone. It was a confident opening-night look that proved Claire Foy was fully ready to make a statement in Venice.
