Ella Beatty leaned all the way into dark glamour for her big premiere night. The rising actress, daughter of Hollywood veterans Annette Bening and Warren Beatty, arrived at Pulitzer Fountain in New York City on September 16 for the premiere of Netflix's "Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story," in which she takes on the title role as the infamous 19th-century murder suspect.

Ella wore a custom gown from Harbison Studio, done entirely in black with subtle lingerie-inspired detailing throughout. The bodice was built like a fitted bustier, with structured cups and a cinched waist creating a sharp, second-skin silhouette through the torso. The skirt flowed out from there into a slim, form-fitting shape before ending in a short train that trailed behind her on the red carpet, a fitting touch of drama for a series steeped in true-crime history.

Season 4 of the anthology series marks the franchise's first female-led installment, following Lizzie Borden's trial for the 1892 murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts. Beatty, who made her screen debut in Murphy's "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans," called stepping into the historic role a major milestone, and her striking Harbison Studio moment made sure her red carpet debut for the series matched the occasion.
