Florence Pugh and Zoe Kazan’s Stylish East of Eden Screening Looks

Florence Pugh and Zoe Kazan brought two very different takes on red-carpet dressing to the New York screening of Netflix’s East of Eden. The event took place at the Paley Center for Media in New York on September 27, with photos and coverage arriving on September 28. Pugh, the Oscar-nominated British actress known for films including Little Women, Midsommar and Oppenheimer, looked romantic in an Erdem Resort 2027 white gown. The textured dress featured a fitted bodice with a softly plunging neckline, while intricate silver crystal embellishment traced the neckline, waist and sides. A sculptural, asymmetric skirt gave the look extra movement, finished with delicate fringed detailing along the hem.

She kept the accessories refined, adding long sparkling drop earrings and barely-there metallic strappy sandals. Her blonde hair was styled in soft, brushed-back waves with a relaxed side sweep, complementing the feminine feel of the gown.

Alongside her, actress, writer and East of Eden creator Zoe Kazan chose a striking Markarian Fall 2026 RTW look. Her sleeveless black midi dress was decorated with oversized three-dimensional gold floral appliqués, creating a bold contrast against the simple silhouette. Black pointed Mary Jane-style shoes completed the look, while her long brunette hair was worn loose and straight with a natural finish.

The fashion moment came as Pugh and Kazan continue promoting the seven-episode Netflix adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic novel. Pugh stars as Cathy Ames, while Kazan wrote and created the series. East of Eden follows the Trask family across generations and puts a renewed focus on Cathy’s complicated character. The series premieres on Netflix October 1.
