Kendall Jenner Wore Vintage Giorgio Armani Fall 1995 Gown at Venice Film Festival 2026
Kendall Jenner wore a vintage Giorgio Armani Fall 1995 gown at the Venice Film Festival for the "Wild Horse Nine" premiere, marking her festival debut
Kendall Jenner just checked off a big one: her first-ever Venice Film Festival red carpet. The model showed up Thursday for the world premiere of "Wild Horse Nine," Martin McDonagh's new dark comedy starring John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi and Parker Posey, and she picked a dress with a pretty fun backstory to mark the occasion.
Jenner wore an archival Giorgio Armani gown pulled straight from the house's Fall/Winter 1995 collection — the same year she was born, which is the kind of detail stylists love to point out and fans love to notice. The gown is a fitted, floor-length slip silhouette with a scoop neckline lined in delicate crystal beading. The rest of the dress is covered in intricate gold floral embroidery layered over shimmering sequins, giving it that soft, pearlescent glow every time she moved under the Lido lights. It reads gold in some shots and almost champagne-white in others, depending on how the light hits the embellishment.
She kept everything else simple, which was the right call given how much texture the dress already had going on. Her dark hair was left down and straight with a deep side part, brushed back off her face for a clean, undone look. For jewelry, she went with Briony Raymond diamond earrings and not much else, letting the embroidery do the talking. On her feet, she chose nude Aquazzura "So Nude" sandals that kept the whole look grounded and elegant without competing with the gown.
The timing wasn't random, either. Jenner is currently Emporio Armani's global fragrance ambassador for its "Power of You" scent, so the vintage Armani pick doubled as a nod to that partnership while she was in Venice representing Armani Beauty. It's also her first major red carpet appearance since the Met Gala back in May, which made the archival gown choice feel even more like an event in itself.
"Wild Horse Nine" is set just before the 1973 Chilean coup and reportedly earned a lengthy standing ovation at its Sala Grande premiere. It hits theaters November 6.
