Lili Reinhart Pays Homage to Brittany Murphy in Archival Blumarine Dress for Love Hypothesis Tour

Lili Reinhart's press tour for The Love Hypothesis has turned into a full trip through rom-com history, and her latest look might be the most personal one yet. The "Riverdale" actress, who plays Olive Smith opposite Tom Bateman in the Prime Video adaptation, shared the look on Instagram on September 21 as a tribute to the late Brittany Murphy.

Reinhart wore an archival Blumarine dress from the label's Spring/Summer 2002 collection, sourced through Rebe Archive. It's the same design Murphy wore as Brooke Ellison in the 2003 film Uptown Girls. The dress is a sheer, sequin-covered slip in a soft peach tone, with hand-painted floral appliqués in pink and green scattered across the bodice and skirt. A large fabric flower sits at one shoulder strap, and the airy, uneven hem lets the sequined fabric catch the light. She paired it with strappy heels topped with matching flower details and styled her wavy blonde hair down to match Murphy's look in the film.

"I don't see any grownups around here," Reinhart wrote in her caption, quoting the movie, and credited the dress as "Blumarine SS 2002, as worn by Brittany Murphy in Uptown Girls." Murphy died in 2009 at age 32.

This tribute is only the latest in Reinhart's monthlong style campaign for the film, put together by stylist Ib Abdel Nasser. She's referenced How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days in a butter-yellow Caché gown, Mean Girls in a Leo Lin cardigan-and-skirt set, Ever After with a Drew Barrymore-inspired gown, and Miss Congeniality in a purple Hervé Léger wrap dress that even got a comment from Sandra Bullock herself. The Love Hypothesis, based on Ali Hazelwood's novel, releases on Prime Video September 23.
