Liza Soberano made a memorable Hollywood red-carpet appearance on September 23, arriving at the world premiere of DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island in Los Angeles in a custom creation by Filipino designer Mark Bumgarner.
Held at the newly opened Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, the premiere was a particularly meaningful setting for the film, which draws heavily from Filipino folklore and mythology. The world premiere was also the first film premiere held at the new museum, making the evening an important moment for the movie and its Filipino representation.
For the occasion, Soberano wore a custom pink Filipiniana-inspired gown featuring a fitted, corset-style bodice covered in sparkling sequins and beadwork. The standout sleeves were oversized and structured, echoing the traditional terno or butterfly sleeves associated with Filipiniana dress. A dramatic floor-length skirt added even more movement, with layers of delicate pink feathers sweeping down from the hips to the hem.
The soft pink shade gave the gown a romantic, almost fairytale quality, while the shimmering embellishment kept it firmly in red-carpet territory. The feathered skirt was particularly eye-catching, creating a dramatic finish as Soberano posed in front of the colorful Forgotten Island backdrop.
She kept her beauty look polished and feminine, wearing her long dark hair swept back from a center part, with the lengths flowing behind her shoulders. Her makeup featured softly defined eyes, a rosy complexion and a glossy nude-pink lip.
