Marina Ruy Barbosa Wore Sheer Black Intimissimi Gown at Wild Horse Nine Premiere
Marina Ruy Barbosa wore a sheer black long-sleeve Intimissimi gown with a dramatic train at the "Wild Horse Nine" Venice premiere.
Marina Ruy Barbosa kept her Venice streak going strong. The Brazilian actress, best known for major telenovelas like "Império" and "Totalmente Demais," along with a growing reputation as one of Brazil's most closely watched red carpet dressers, walked the carpet for the premiere of "Wild Horse Nine," Martin McDonagh's new dark comedy starring John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi and Parker Posey.
Ruy Barbosa wore a sheer black gown from Intimissimi, and transparency was clearly the whole point of the look. The dress features long sleeves and a high turtleneck, both done in the same sheer black fabric that continues down the entire bodice, giving a clear view of the delicate lace lingerie underneath. A darker floral lace panel sits across the chest for a bit of coverage and texture, but the sheerness carries all the way down the torso and even through the back, which stayed completely see-through as she turned for photos. From the hip down, the dress gathers into a fitted, draped skirt that flows into a long, dramatic train trailing behind her on the carpet.
She wore her red hair, one of her signature style trademarks, down in soft waves that fell past her shoulders, letting the color pop against all that black sheer fabric. For jewelry, she chose a statement diamond choker along with a matching diamond bracelet, both adding a cold, glamorous shine against the sheer look. She finished the styling with fingerless gloves in the same black tone as the dress, tying the whole silhouette together.
Ruy Barbosa has made bold transparency something of a running theme during this year's festival, having also worn a completely different, ultra-romantic white couture gown by Miss Sohee earlier in the week. Between the two looks, she's quickly become one of the standout style names of Venice 2026.
