Scarlett Johansson Wears Prada Mohair Minidress to Paper Tiger Premiere at NYFF
Scarlett Johansson wore a charcoal Prada mohair minidress, styled by Kate Young, to the Paper Tiger premiere at the New York Film Festival.
Scarlett Johansson kept it sleek and old-Hollywood for the opening night of the 64th New York Film Festival. The two-time Oscar nominee, known for Marriage Story, Jojo Rabbit and her long run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, walked the carpet at Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater on September 25 for the North American premiere of James Gray's Paper Tiger, in which she plays Linda, wife to Miles Teller's character.
Styled by Kate Young, Johansson wore Prada's Stretch Kid Mohair Dress in slate gray, a sleeveless charcoal minidress with a high boat neckline and a fine, suiting-style weave that gave it a subtle sheen under the flashbulbs. Soft ruching at the waist traced her figure before the skirt landed in a clean, knee-grazing hem. The same silhouette turned up on Sadie Sink earlier this year, making it one of Prada's more recognizable pieces this season. She finished the look with metallic silver ankle-strap heels and delicate diamond drop earrings.
Her golden lob was brushed into a deep side part with glossy, piecey waves, paired with a bold matte red lip and luminous skin for a finished look that leaned straight into 1940s glamour.
Johansson posed on the carpet with husband Colin Jost, as well as co-stars Adam Driver and Miles Teller and director James Gray. Paper Tiger is set in 1986 Queens and follows two brothers whose get-rich-quick scheme pulls them into the orbit of the Russian mob. The film had its world premiere at Cannes and lands the festival's opening night slot, joining past NYFF openers like The Irishman and Nickel Boys. It gets a limited theatrical release on November 13 before expanding wide November 20.
