Simona Jakstaite brought a jolt of color to Vogue World: Milano, the star-studded event that opens Milan Fashion Week. The Lithuanian-born model and creative director, a regular presence in the front rows of Paris and Milan fashion weeks, walked through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II on September 22 in a saturated cobalt look from Alaïa.

The dress was a high-neck knit midi with a close, fitted upper body, but the real story was at the shoulders. Dense, three-dimensional ruffled sleeves extended outward from both arms in thick, looped bands, creating a sculptural volume that sharply contrasted with the narrow, smooth fit through the torso. Below the waist, the skirt fell into a softer A-line shape, so the whole silhouette read as top-heavy in a deliberate, striking way. Kept entirely in one saturated blue, the dress stood apart from the darker tailoring and neutral eveningwear filling the Galleria that night.

Jakstaite carried a small black leather top-handle bag and wore black knee-high boots, keeping the accessories simple so the sleeves stayed the focus. Her long blonde hair fell in loose waves parted down the middle, and her makeup stayed soft and natural. She attended alongside her partner, entrepreneur Christopher Aleo, with whom she's frequently photographed at fashion week stops and film festivals.

Vogue World Milano is now in its fifth edition, mixing runway moments with a red carpet full of major names. This year's show leaned into Italian craftsmanship, with houses including Prada, Armani, Versace, Ferragamo and Gucci contributing looks, and proceeds supporting the redevelopment of Milan's Quarto Oggiaro Library. Jakstaite was there alongside guests like Gigi Hadid, Chiara Ferragni and Jennifer Lopez.
