Sydney Sweeney Wore Sparkling Silver Vintage Armani Gown at Venice Beauty Dinner
Sydney Sweeney wore a sheer, sequined vintage Giorgio Armani FW2000 gown at the Armani Beauty dinner during the Venice Film Festival.
Sydney Sweeney kept the momentum going in Venice. A night after her official festival duties, the actress showed up Thursday evening for Armani Beauty's exclusive dinner at Giardini Reali, right by St. Mark's Square, and once again gave everyone something to talk about.
Sweeney, known for "Euphoria," "Anyone but You" and her growing run as an Armani Beauty ambassador, wore a sheer, backless gown pulled from Raffe Vintage that originally walked Giorgio Armani's Fall 2000 runway. The dress is fully covered in fine silver sequins that read gunmetal, pewter or almost mercury depending on the light, with a fitted column silhouette that skims straight down to the floor. A small black rosette appliqué sits at the shoulder strap, the one dark detail breaking up all that shine, and the sheer paneling through the bodice gives the whole thing a slightly retro, boudoir-inspired edge without tipping into costume territory.
She kept her glam simple to let the dress do the talking. Her blonde hair fell in loose, side-parted waves with an Old Hollywood feel, and her makeup stuck to a warm, dewy look — soft smoky eyes, rosy cheeks and a rosy-nude lip. Jewelry-wise, she barely wore any, just a couple of rings including a statement diamond piece, plus a subtle lilac manicure for a little modern contrast against the vintage gown. Reports also note she finished the look with black platform heels.
The dinner marked Armani Beauty's ninth straight year as the Venice Film Festival's official beauty sponsor, and Sweeney attended alongside other ambassadors like Jonathan Bailey, Nicholas Galitzine and Vittoria Ceretti. Sweeney arrived with boyfriend Scooter Braun, and the two were later spotted taking a gondola ride through Venice's canals that same night. Between the dress and the timing, it's shaping up to be a packed, high-visibility trip to the festival for her.
