George and Amal Clooney Glam Up for the 2026 Albie Awards at the Natural History Museum

Amal Clooney went full gold at this year’s Albie Awards, and she did it in front of a room she helped fill. The human rights barrister, who co-founded the Clooney Foundation for Justice with her husband George, walked the carpet beside him at London’s Natural History Museum on October 9.

Her dress was a custom Gucci gown covered in sequins, with a long fringe that ran from the waist to the floor. It had an off-the-shoulder, asymmetric neckline and a fitted bodice that followed her shape closely. The gold shimmered under the lights, and the fringe moved with every step, which made the whole look feel a bit old Hollywood. It was easily the brightest thing in front of the dark velvet backdrop.

She kept the extras neat. On her feet were gold Paris Texas Lidia slingback heels with a pointed toe, and she carried a Gucci Fall/Winter 2026 clutch that looked silvery and crystal-covered. A pair of drop earrings finished it off. Her long brown hair, with soft golden highlights, was worn down in loose, bouncy waves. George kept it classic in a black tuxedo with a bow tie, and the two posed arm in arm.

The Albies started in 2022 and are named after Justice Albie Sachs. This was the fifth edition, with Graham Norton hosting and Gucci and Charlotte Tilbury among the partners. This year’s honourees included photojournalist Lynsey Addario, Malawian girls’ rights advocate Vanessa Mwangala and the Congolese organisation Justice Plus. Brad Pitt, Isla Fisher, Hannah Waddingham, Emma Thompson and Laura Dern were also among the guests.

Amal has had a busy fashion season. Remember her custom Tom Ford look at the Venice premiere of Ink last month? If you want to go back further, here’s the pair at the 2018 Met Gala.
