Apple Martin's First Runway Look: Chloé Broderie Anglaise and Platform Sandals

Apple Martin just walked her first-ever runway. The 22-year-old model, the daughter of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, made her catwalk debut at Chloé's Spring/Summer 2027 show on Thursday, October 1, during Paris Fashion Week. The show took place at the 17th-century Paris Observatory.

She opened the moment with a very Chloé look. Apple wore an oversized white broderie anglaise dress with loose, easy shapes and lots of romantic detail. It had a scalloped collar, a ruffled front placket, fine pintucks across the chest, puffed sleeves with frilled cuffs and a scalloped hem. Large circles of eyelet cutwork covered the skirt, so it felt like a vintage nightgown turned into runway wear. The dress hung relaxed and long, with a deep V-neckline.

Her shoes added a modern twist. She wore Chloé's signature platform sandals in tan leather, with an ankle strap and a clear perspex panel over the toes. Apple's blonde hair was center-parted and worn in loose, soft waves, which gave the whole look a 1970s feel, and her makeup was fresh and natural with a soft pink-nude lip.

This debut felt like a natural next step. Apple was announced in May as the face of Chloé's À La Plage campaign, shot by David Sims, and she has also modeled for Self-Portrait and GapStudio. She graduated from Vanderbilt University earlier this year and has signed with CAA, and she's said she wants to pursue acting. She also walked alongside models like Natasha Poly, Eva Herzigova and Mariacarla Boscono.

The show was creative director Chemena Kamali's "Obsession" collection, built on lingerie, lace, floral embroidery, fishermen's coats and romantic skirts. Claire Danes, Cynthia Erivo and Claudia Schiffer sat in the front row. Chloé has been a busy name on the style calendar, and Florence Pugh recently wore the label too, in a Chloé satin and lace lingerie-style look in New York City.
