Elizabeth Debicki Wears a Custom Balmain Metallic Halter Gown With Sabyasachi Earrings to the 2026 Academy Museum Gala
Elizabeth Debicki wore a custom Balmain metallic halter gown with Sabyasachi earrings to the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.
Elizabeth Debicki kept it glamorous and simple at the 6th Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles. She wore a custom Balmain halter gown in a shimmery, champagne-beige metallic fabric.
The dress was a liquid-looking lamé jersey that caught the light with every move. It had a high, folded halter neck, a bare back and arms, and soft draping across the front. At the hip, the fabric gathered into a big loose knot, with one long tail hanging down the front of the skirt. The skirt had a side slit that opened up to her thigh, and it dragged into a long train behind her. With her height, the long lines looked even more dramatic. There was nothing flashy about it, just a lot of shine and movement.
Her shoes were the Femme LA Maeve slippers, a flat, strappy silver style with tiny crystal details. It’s a nice touch that she wore flats with such a long dress. For jewelry she chose ornate gold drop earrings from Sabyasachi, which stood out against the cool metallic of the dress, and she wore a couple of slim gold rings.
Her hair was the real Old Hollywood moment. It was golden blonde with a hint of darker roots, parted in the middle and set into soft vintage waves that curled under around her shoulders. Her makeup was clean and glowy, with soft eyes and a rosy peach lip.
Elizabeth Debicki is an Australian actress, and a tall one. Her best-known roles include Princess Diana in The Crown, Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby, Ayesha in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Netflix’s The Night Manager. Her red carpet looks are a regular feature here, and you can see her draped Vera Wang gown with a diamond tiara at the Met Gala.
The gala took place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Charlize Theron received the Icon Award, John Carpenter the Luminary Award and Colman Domingo the Vantage Award, and Taylor Swift performed. The evening raises money for the museum’s exhibitions, screenings and education programs.
Her wavy blonde hair also suits our list of famous blonde actresses. She wore a very different color, strapless pink at the 2023 Golden Globes.
