Ella Rubin Wears a Cropped Black Chanel Sweater and Red Quilted Suede Skirt in Paris

Ella Rubin made her Paris Fashion Week debut at Chanel, and she picked a color-blocked look that stood out in the front row. The 25-year-old actress, known for Anora, The Idea of You, Until Dawn and Masters of the Air, now stars as Annie Jacobson in Amazon Prime's Sterling Point. She sat among Nicole Kidman, Alexa Demie and Dua Lipa at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2027 show at the Grand Palais on Monday, October 5.

She wore a cropped black sweater with a boat neckline, soft three-quarter sleeves and gathered shoulders. A large black-and-gold double-C brooch was pinned at one shoulder. It left a strip of midriff showing above her skirt, which was a vivid red quilted suede pencil skirt with two patch pockets and gold CC buttons. The red kept things bold, and the black top kept it sharp. Alexa Demie also wore red to the same show, in a shiny quilted mini skirt suit.

The accessories brought in a cooler color. Ella carried a small powder-blue quilted Chanel bag with a double gold chain strap, and she wore matching pale blue pointed pumps with red cap toes that picked up the color of the skirt. Her jewelry was simple, with a gold chain bracelet and a few gold rings.

Her hair and makeup were soft. Ella wore her long dark brunette hair in loose waves with a center part, and her skin looked fresh and dewy, with a natural pink lip. She recently became a Chanel Beauty partner.

The show was called "Free as a Bird" and marked Matthieu Blazy's first year as creative director. Blazy mixed tweed with windowpane checks, tiger prints, sheer embroidered skirt suits and plenty of quilted chain bags. The runway opened and closed with a model carrying Gabrielle Chanel's original 2.55 bag. Big glowing bird sculptures hung overhead, and you can see one in the background of Ella's photos.
