Close-up of Hunter Schafer in a teal striped bandeau top with her long strawberry-blonde hair across her face

Hunter Schafer went for a real burst of colour at New York Comic Con this year. The Euphoria star was at the Javits Center on Saturday, October 10 for the Blade Runner 2099 panel, and she wore a Prada Spring 2027 look that was nothing like the usual sci-fi convention outfit.

The top was a bandeau in teal with thick, hand-painted-looking black stripes, which sat slightly twisted at the front. Below it was a high-waisted pencil skirt in vivid red with a black brushstroke print. The print was heaviest near the hip and faded into streaks toward the hem, which landed just above her knee. The skirt had a small gathered waistband, so it hugged her without looking stiff. With the teal against the red, the whole outfit was loud in the best way.

She finished the look with black sculptural heeled mules that had a curved, chunky heel. Her long strawberry-blonde hair was worn loose and straight, with a long fringe falling across one eye in the close-up shots, and her makeup, by Sandy Ganzer, was soft and fresh with a berry-pink lip.

The panel took place at the Empire Stage with co-star Michelle Yeoh, plus Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben and Matthew Needham and the show’s producers. Blade Runner 2099 is an eight-episode Prime Video series set 50 years after Blade Runner 2049, in a Los Angeles where replicants run things. Hunter plays Cora, a human fugitive, opposite Michelle’s replicant, Olwen. All eight episodes arrive on Prime Video on November 25.
