JENNIE Wears Vintage Alaïa Fall/Winter 1991 Bodysuit for Her Duet With The Weeknd in Seoul

JENNIE gave The Weeknd’s Seoul fans a proper surprise on October 8, and her outfit was just as talked about as the song. The BLACKPINK star joined him on stage at the second night of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour in Goyang, just outside Seoul, to perform “One of the Girls.” It was the first time the two have sung the track live together.

For the moment she chose something old: a bodysuit from Alaïa’s Fall/Winter 1991 collection, which means it’s about 35 years old. The look was originally shown on the runway by Naomi Campbell, and Jennie changed it up for the stage. She took off the ruffled sleeves and cut the long jumpsuit down into a bodysuit. What was left is a high-neck, long-sleeved piece in sheer lace with a purple leopard print, and deep purple velvet panels cut in swirls around the middle and the hips. In some of the photos it looks almost black, and in others a rich plum.

The accessories were simple and sexy. She added sheer nude fishnet tights and knee-high lace-up suede boots, also from Alaïa. The hair and makeup carried the dark, femme-fatale feel. Her hair was long and poker straight with heavy blunt bangs across her forehead, and she added lilac eyeshadow and a glossy nude lip. Her stylist was Sojung Jeanne Kim.

The show was the Korean leg of The Weeknd’s tour, held at Goyang Stadium on October 7 and 8 as part of Hyundai Card’s Super Concert series. It was his first Korean concert in eight years and drew about 110,000 fans over two nights. “One of the Girls” first came out in 2023 on the soundtrack to The Idol.
