Joey King Wears Custom Miu Miu to the 2026 Academy Museum Gala
Joey King wore a custom teal satin Miu Miu gown with sheer black gloves and Bvlgari earrings to the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles.
Joey King wore custom Miu Miu to the 6th Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, and it was a good one: a deep teal satin gown with a vintage feel, finished with long sheer black gloves.
The dress was a strapless column with a sweetheart neckline, in a glossy, deep green-blue satin that looked almost peacock under the lights. It was cut in clean vertical panels, with seams running down the front to give it a fitted, straight shape all the way to the floor. The sweet part was at the top, where the neckline had a ruffled black lace trim and a tiny black bow sat right in the middle of the bust. Down at the hem, you could see a flash of white underskirt peeking out. The black gloves went past her elbows and were sheer enough to show her hands underneath, so it looked a bit like 1950s Hollywood.
The jewelry came from Bvlgari. She wore the Divas’ Dream drop earrings, shaped like little fans, and a sparkly diamond necklace that sat just above her neckline, with a diamond bracelet pulled on over one glove. Her bag was the Miu Miu Wander Matelassé mini bag. Her hair was auburn, slicked back from her face with a middle part and left long and straight down her back. Her makeup was simple: soft rosy cheeks, glowing skin and a peachy-pink lip.
Joey King is an American actress who got her start as a child and became a household name with The Kissing Booth movies. She’s also known for The Act, Bullet Train and We Were the Lucky Ones, and she stars in Practical Magic 2. Miu Miu has been behind a lot of her recent looks, like the custom gown she wore to the Practical Magic 2 premiere in London.
The gala was held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Charlize Theron got the Icon Award, John Carpenter the Luminary Award and Colman Domingo the Vantage Award, and Taylor Swift performed. The money goes to the museum’s exhibitions, screenings and education programs.
She also wore a different designer to the Practical Magic 2 premiere in Los Angeles not long ago.
