Lily James Goes Bridal-Chic in Custom White Prada at “The Liberation” London Film Festival Premiere
Lily James wore a white pressed-velvet Prada gown with draped scarf sleeves and Tiffany & Co. jewelry to The Liberation premiere at BFI London.
Lily James went all white for the London premiere of The Liberation. The British actress, who you probably know from Cinderella, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Pam & Tommy, walked the red carpet at the 2026 BFI London Film Festival in a custom Prada gown styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray.
The dress is made from white pressed velvet, so it has a crinkled, almost sculpted look up close. It’s a slim sheath with a fitted bodice and an off-the-shoulder neckline. A small bow sits at the centre of the neckline, and a thin ribbon runs straight down the front. The real showstopper is the pair of sheer scarf sleeves that drape from the shoulders and trail along the red carpet behind her. It looked a little bridal, but the creased velvet kept it from feeling too sweet.
She kept the jewelry minimal and went with Tiffany & Co. pieces, including sparkly drop earrings and a slim diamond-style bracelet. Her nails were painted a dark, almost black shade, which was a nice contrast against all that white. Her hair was sleek and straight with a centre part, showing off dark roots that faded into honey-blonde ends. Makeup stayed soft and natural, with a nude-pink lip.
The Liberation is directed by Guy Nattiv and set in the world of a bank teller named Rita, played by Carrie Coon, who hides trauma from her past as a Holocaust survivor. Lily plays Ricki, a charismatic woman who pulls Rita into her orbit, and the story suggests Rita’s family may pay a price. Bella Ramsey and Odessa Young also star, and the cast joined Guy on the carpet. Carrie wore Valentino with Repossi jewelry, while Odessa chose Alessandra Rich.
Lily has been busy with fashion moments lately. See her earlier look in Lily James in a black Max Mara two-piece at the Disney Emmy season toast 2026.
She also fronted a glamorous fragrance campaign, which you can see in Lily James in Versace’s Bright Crystal perfume campaign.
